High school girl brutally beaten by group in coffee field in Quang Ngai
A female student at Dak Mar Secondary School (Dak Mar commune, Quang Ngai) was beaten by a group of boys and girls in a coffee field, with the incident recorded and shared online. The family discovered the incident and learned that their child had been beaten at least twice.
On the afternoon of July 20, authorities in Dak Mar commune confirmed they were aware of the incident and had spoken with the victim’s relatives. Preliminary findings indicate the assault occurred in a coffee field within Dak Ha commune.
“Today is Sunday, but by Monday local authorities will coordinate with Dak Ha Commune Police to summon the group involved for questioning,” a representative stated.

A relative of the victim posted the video online, urging authorities to investigate and prevent further school violence.
The relative explained that a neighbor accidentally saw the video in a message chain and recognized T. as the victim. The family was shocked to see their relative being repeatedly beaten by the group.
After seeing the video, the family questioned T., who revealed the incident had occurred about a month prior—and that it wasn’t the first time.
“About a month ago, we noticed bruises on T., but she claimed she fell off her bike. Now we know the truth—she was too scared to tell anyone,” the relative said.
The family spoke with some of the attackers’ friends, who described in detail two separate beatings T. endured.
The video shows the assault taking place in a coffee field. One girl initially attacks T. while others cheer. After T. stands up, another girl joins in, knocking her to the ground. The attackers continue despite T. being defenseless, even using a helmet to hit her.
Disturbingly, several boys witnessed the attack but did not intervene—one even kicked T. from behind.

Family demands strict punishment to prevent recurrence
The family believes the attack stemmed from online comments. The assailants were not T.’s classmates.
T. is the middle child in a family of three siblings. She lives with her father while her mother works abroad. The children help with household chores and care for each other.
T.’s father, deeply distressed by the incident, reported it to Dak Mar Commune Police, urging strong action to prevent future violence.
Local authorities condemned the attack, calling school violence unacceptable. They promised strict punishment and collaboration with schools and families to educate the perpetrators.
