A military source reported that drones from the Rapid Support Forces targeted Khartoum Airport on Wednesday for the second consecutive day.

The source, who requested anonymity as they were not authorized to speak to the media, stated: “The terrorist militia’s drones targeted Khartoum Airport again this morning, and our air defenses intercepted the drones.”

The Sudanese military, which controls Khartoum, has been engaged in a violent conflict with the Rapid Support Forces since April 2023.

Khartoum Airport

Khartoum International Airport is Sudan’s main international airport and a key aviation hub for the country. It was originally established by the British Royal Air Force in the 1920s and has since been modernized, though its operations have been significantly disrupted by the ongoing civil war.
