The “Yokohama Motomachi Food Fair” will be held for two days on October 4th and 5th, centered around Motomachi Nakadori, with participation from restaurants, food shops, beauty and health-related stores.
The Yokohama Motomachi Food Fair started in November 2000 as the “Motomachi Komachi Food Fair”. The 2025 event will be its 23rd edition, and in 2024, it attracted approximately 20,000 visitors.
The basic principles are “Gratitude for nature’s blessings, providing authentic offerings, handmade management, and contributing to Motomachi’s development.” This year’s theme is “Motomachi Gourmet Tour”. Each shop will sell its “specialty menu” in front of their stores, which can be enjoyed along with live music.
Over 50 stores will participate, including “French Cuisine Restaurant Yokohama Motomachi Mutekiro”, “Motomachi Korouan”, and “Wine Hall Motomachi Club”. The food offerings include Japanese, Western, Chinese cuisine, sweets, and drinks. Additionally, beauty and health-related stores will offer services like massage, stretching, and foot care.
Street performances are also planned.
The event will take place at Motomachi Nakadori, Daikansaka-dori, Shiokumi-zaka-dori, Motomachi-dori 3-chome and 4-chome, and in front of Motomachi Plaza. The hours are from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Food fair menu items can only be purchased with special tickets (sold in 100-yen units, available on the day of the event).
