The 2nd series of the Shell BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge 2025 will take place this weekend, July 19-20, at the Regent’s Office area in Sambas, West Kalimantan. This marks the third time the event is held in West Kalimantan, consistently drawing high enthusiasm from participants and spectators alike.

Previously, the endurance race was held in Sanggau (2023) and Sintang (2024), with the Sintang event setting a record for the highest number of attendees, reaching tens of thousands since the BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge began in 2022. West Kalimantan has since become a permanent fixture in the event’s calendar, including in 2025.

Following the first series of the Shell BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge 2025 in Batu, East Java, last May, the event now moves to Sambas, West Kalimantan. The strong sales of the Yamaha WR155R in the region are a key reason for the event’s continued presence there. The abundance of palm plantations and remote areas with off-road terrain makes durable motorcycles like the Yamaha WR155R essential for locals. Additionally, off-road competitions are rare, making the nationally scaled Shell BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge, complete with entertainment, highly popular. Each time it’s held in West Kalimantan, it attracts large crowds and numerous participants. The Sambas event will welcome Yamaha enthusiasts and racing fans from Sambas, Singkawang, and Bengkayang.

This year’s Shell BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge in Sambas introduces an Exhibition Class, including the WR155R Women class for local female riders and the WR155R Sing Bebas (Singkawang, Bengkayang, Sambas) class for local riders and communities. The Race Class features competitions in WR155R Professional, WR155R Advance, WR155R Com A, WR155R Com B, WR155R Hobby, and YZ Series Open categories. These classes attract professional riders, members of WR Owners Indonesia (WOI), local communities, and Yamaha dealer teams like BRM Cirebon and Mekar Motor Bogor.

Race Class participants will tackle a circuit filled with obstacles such as rocks, logs, and tires, followed by an adventure through rubber forests with natural challenges like tree roots and slippery clay terrain.

The weekend’s agenda includes a prolog race on Saturday and Sunday, showcasing competitors navigating the circuit’s obstacles. Spectators can enjoy watching the thrilling races featuring the WR155R and YZ Series motorcycles.

Beyond racing, visitors can explore product and sponsor exhibition booths, enjoy entertainment, participate in door prize draws, and join group rides.

The Shell BLU CRU Yamaha Enduro Challenge is supported by sponsors including SHELL, Yamalube, Kayaba, Yuasa, GS Astra, Pirelli, IRC Tire, Cargloss, HiTEQ, Yamaha Genuine Parts, and SKY (Service Kunjung Yamaha).
