Yokohama DeNA announced on the 18th that five players – Matsui, Maki, Ishigami, Datsuri, and Kajiwara – will participate in the Fall Instructional League in Miyazaki Prefecture starting on the 20th.

Yokohama DeNA

Yokohama DeNA is a Japanese professional baseball team based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. The franchise was originally founded in 1950 as the Taiyo Whales, and it was later renamed the Yokohama BayStars after the city. In 2020, the team was acquired by the DeNA technology company, which led to its current name, Yokohama DeNA BayStars.

Fall Instructional League

The Fall Instructional League is a developmental baseball program organized by Major League Baseball teams, primarily for recently drafted or signed minor league prospects. It typically runs from September to October in Florida and Arizona, focusing on skill development, fundamentals, and acclimating new players to professional baseball.
