Defending champion National University defeated Ateneo de Manila University with scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-17 to sweep Pool E in the 2025 Shakey’s Super League Unity Cup at San Andres Gym in Manila.
The Lady Bulldogs, who earned a twice-to-beat advantage in the crossover quarterfinals, will face the No. 4 team from Pool F.
Chams Maaya and Josline Salazar each contributed 10 points and combined for 14 of the team’s 37 attack points.
Ana Hermosura and Dona de Leon finished with eight and six points respectively for Ateneo, which suffered its second consecutive loss.
Meanwhile, Adamson University defeated University of the Philippines with scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-23 to secure the other quarterfinal advantage in Pool E.
Shaina Nitura, returning from a two-game rest, led the Lady Falcons with 22 points and nine receptions.
Frances Mordi added 10 points while Lhouriz Tuddao contributed six points for Adamson, which finished the round with a 2-1 record and will face the No. 3 team from Pool F.
Kiane Olango scored nine points while Yesha Noceja and Casiey Dongallo each contributed seven points for UP, which will compete against Ateneo to determine their seedings in the next round.
San Andres Gym
