Starting today, China has introduced a visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay, expanding its unilateral visa-free «Circle of Friends» with new members.
From June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, ordinary passport holders from the aforementioned five countries visiting China for business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, or transit for no more than 30 days will be able to enter without a visa.
This marks the first extension of China’s visa-free policy to countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. To date, the unilateral visa-free policy for visitors to China has been applied to 43 countries.
