“703 Seats Still Available, Tangerang City Government Opens Second Phase of Junior High School Admissions”

The Tangerang City Government, through the Education Department, has opened registrations for the second phase of the New Student Admission System (SPMB) for junior high schools.

In this phase, there are still 703 seats available for new student applicants.

The Head of the Tangerang City Education Department stated that registration for the second phase of SPMB for junior high schools is based on the Academic Achievement Pathway for Local Students.

Once this phase is completed, the entire SPMB process for the 2025/2026 academic year will conclude.

“The public can still take advantage of the available quota in the second phase of SPMB for junior high schools in Tangerang City. All schools still have openings, but once they are full, applicants will no longer be able to register through the SPMB application,” he said on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

The Tangerang City Government has also provided 70 free private junior high schools for residents.

If applicants cannot secure a spot in public schools, they can utilize the Free Private School program.

“The ‘Easy School’ program introduced by the Tangerang City Government includes providing free private schools. We ensure no child in Tangerang City drops out of school. We encourage everyone to take advantage of the available educational programs,” he concluded.
