A man met a tragic fate after being “swallowed” by the rice harvester he was cleaning in Barangay Janipaan Oeste, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
According to the police investigation, the 57-year-old victim, “Jose,” was cleaning the machine when the operator, “Johnny,” reportedly started it, causing the victim to be pulled into the machinery.
The operator immediately shut down the machine, but it was too late as the victim had already been struck in a critical part of his body, resulting in his death.
The victim’s family plans to file charges against the machine operator.
The police investigation into the incident continues.
