Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has once again honored a very important segment of society – homemakers. Through his blog, he said that many women underestimate their hard work and responsibilities, but they should proudly state their identity because managing a home is no easy task.

Amitabh Bachchan shared in his blog that when he asks female audience members on his TV quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) what they do, many women respond in very soft and subdued voices that they are homemakers.

Amitabh questioned why women downplay this role so much? Big B told women that they should never hide this work or say it in a subdued voice. They should say with pride and full confidence that they manage a home, because managing a home is not an easy job.

He elaborated in his blog, “Looking after the home, taking care of the husband, looking after the children, cooking for everyone, managing all the additional tasks – this is no easy work.”

Amitabh Bachchan said that this work is not just household chores, but a form of management where everything needs to run properly. Therefore, women should take pride in the contribution they make through their work.

Big B wrote, “During COVID times, all men realized how much their wives manage at home when they had to handle all the work that their wives used to do.” He said this experience better explained the importance of household work.

Amitabh emphasized that managing a home is a huge responsibility that requires both time and energy. He wrote at the end of his blog, “It’s time to go to work… got a call early in the morning… and my love and gratitude to all my well-wishers… your continuous love and affection is beyond words.”
