Illegal Structures Along the River Near Unisma Finally Demolished
KOTA BEKASI – Unauthorized buildings along the Kalimalang riverbank near the Islamic University “45” (UNISMA) Bekasi were finally demolished by the Bekasi City Government on Monday (2/6/2025).
The city government will transform the area into a Green Open Space (RTH) for the residents of Bekasi City.
“The temporary plan is to turn the land around the Kalimalang Embankment into a park,” said the Head of Bekasi City Spatial Planning Agency.
At the same location, the District Head of East Bekasi mentioned that the majority of traders in the area are from outside Bekasi City.
“According to the data we have, there are about 74 traders occupying the location. However, they are not residents of Bekasi City, and for the residents of East Bekasi, there are only 9 people,” she explained.
