Wang Changsong Leads Tianjin Delegation to Attend the 31st Lanzhou Fair and Inspects Paired Counties

From July 5th to 7th, Wang Changsong, Chairman of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, led a delegation to attend the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, and conducted research in several paired counties to advance east-west collaboration and对口支援 (paired assistance) efforts.

On the 5th, Wang Changsong visited the Tianjin-Gansu Collaboration Exhibition Hall and met with Tianjin officials stationed in Gansu and representatives from the Gansu Tianjin Chamber of Commerce. During discussions, he emphasized that since the launch of east-west collaboration between Tianjin and Gansu, significant progress has been made in industrial, technological, talent, healthcare, and educational cooperation under the leadership of the municipal government. He urged officials to thoroughly implement the central government’s directives, strengthen political responsibility, enhance capabilities, and ensure smooth transitions to further promote industrial support, livelihood assistance,消费帮扶 (consumption assistance), talent exchange, and social aid, continuing to advance Tianjin-Gansu collaboration.

He encouraged the newly established Gansu Tianjin Chamber of Commerce to adhere to the “Four Good” standards, improve organizational capacity, and serve as a platform for cooperation to contribute to the development of both regions.

On the 6th, Wang attended the opening ceremony and major project signing event of the 31st Lanzhou Fair, toured exhibition halls, and visited the Tianjin booth to engage with staff and review displays. The fair, themed “Shared Opportunities, Joint Development, and Common Prosperity,” showcased Tianjin’s urban achievements, Gansu assistance projects, port logistics, industrial innovation, and local specialties.

During the visit, the delegation inspected the Shuping Food Industry Innovation Park, a joint Tianjin-Gansu project in Yongdeng County, and reviewed supported initiatives in Yeri Village and Wangzang Village, Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
